Biography

Duangkamol Limcharoen is a former filmmaker and actress. She was a pioneer in making successful Thai movies in the international market. Duangkamol graduated from the Faculty of Arts Chulalongkorn University Branch of theatrical arts in 1985 and then worked in the television industry. She co-founded Exact, a subsidiary of the GMM Grammy, and produced a television series in 1992. She studied film business management from UCLA in 1997. Duangkamol died of lung cancer at the age of 39 on December 8 , 2003. Shortly before her death, she was awarded Producer of the Year 2003 on November 20, 2003 at the CineAsia II Film Business Forum.
